New Wide Angle Eyepieces!

Wide Angle eyepieces offer a larger view of the sky through a telescope while still retaining the same magnification, giving a greater area of sky coverage. Apparent fields of view in this category average 65-70 degrees. These kind of eyepieces are usually more expensive but new series have brought costs down. They are usually also 'Long Eye Relief' which means that the eye does not need to be as close to the glass in order to see the entire view. This is especially useful in shorter focal lengths. There are two reasons to have a wide angle eyepiece. Firstly, at low powers, you get a tremendous area of view, ideal for deep sky objects & cruising the Milky Way. Secondly, at higher powers - for Moon, planets, globular clusters & the like - you get a true 'Spacewalk' experience and seem to be hanging in space....
