After the great success of new lightweight tubes for the APM (TMB-Design) 105mm F/6.2 and APM (TMB-Design) 115 mm F/7 APOs, a new APM (TMB-Design) 130 mm F/6 LW tube version is available now. This is an up-sized version of the familiar smaller APM (TMB-Design) LW tubes. Lightweight tubes feature the following optimized design:

Newly designed retractable dew cap, to facilitate quick focusing a sliding draw tube with attached 2" Feather Touch focuser which moves into the main tube and secures with a locking hand screw. This new combination allow to use any binoviewer with any diagonal mirror without optical path correctors and still achieve focus. Also included is a Vixen style mount rail. It's mainly designed to work with CCD and 35 mm SLR cameras. This APM (TMB-Design) 130 F/6 LW model is very compact and lightweight. It's a fully transportable high end APO which can be used rock solidly on a small, compact and not overly expensive mount. The optics possess such exceptional chromatic and spherical correction that, in excellent seeing, you'll be able to push magnification beyond traditional extremes for planetary and double star observing with the greatest of contrast and resolution.
