A true PANORAMIC Camera at an affordable price!
Swing lens cameras such as the Widepan Pro II (Product Code PP270) and Horizon use rotating lenses. With this system the angle of view is increased with the Horizon 202 to 120 degrees. And the format on ordinary 35mm film goes from 24 x 36mm to 24 x 58mm. For reference the 35mm compacts' format is usually 12 x 36mm. This increase in image area means that sharpness on enlargment is superior. And an 8 inch enlargement is nearly 20 inches long! Another feature of swing lens cameras is that only the centre of the lens makes the exposure. Because of this the lenses can be much simpler and cheaper. A small slit blocks off the edges of the lens as it swings across the film so this means that the edges of the image are as sharp as middle.
Other features of the Horizon 202 are a built-in bubble spirit level that can be seen in the viewfinder for use when hand holding the camera, it can also be seen from the top plate. The Horizon 202 offers you a range of shutter speeds to match most occasions: these are 1/250th, 1/125th, 1/60th, 1/8th, 1/4 and 1/2 sec. Apertures from f/2.8 to f/16. Included with each camera is a pistol grip to help keep the fingers out of the way when hand holding. Three filters that clip onto the lens and a soft case with strap.
