Returns Policy

Under the Consumer Protection (Distant Selling) Regulations 2000.

Customers in the UK are covered by the Consumer Protection (Distant Selling) Regulations 2000. This allows for a seven day cancellation period from the day the goods are received and gives you the right to return the goods ordered and to receive a refund (less shipping or other costs incurred by us), within 30 days of the goods being received by us. This does not apply to business to business transactions.

The cancellation period is not applicable to Computer Software where the seal has been broken, or to Books, DVDs, Maps or Atlases, Cleaning Fluids, Films or other perishable items.

We ask you in the first instance to Contact Us to notify of any problem that you are experiencing with your purchase. Many issues can be resolved in this manner without recourse to returning the goods.

Unwanted Goods.
Unwanted goods can only be refunded if returned by the Customer unopened, unused, with all the original contents including free gifts and are subject to inspection. The packaging must not be defaced. Our liability is limited to the PURCHASE value of the goods, the postage charge is non-refundable. Please refer to our Returns Procedure below and follow the steps to return the goods. Failure to carry out above will result in a 20% restocking charge.

Damaged and Missing Goods.
In the extremely unlikely event that your order is damaged in transit or not all of the items of your order are received, please Contact Us immediately and no later than within 48 hours from the receipt of the goods. The Widescreen centre will not accept any claims if you failed to notify us within the stated 48 hour period.

Faulty Goods.
All Products supplied through The Widescreen Centre are covered by the Manufacturers' own warranty. It is usually for a period of twelve months from the date of delivery but can be longer with some Manufacturers. Please Contact Us if you need to confirm your Products' warranty period.

Your Manufacturers' warranty covers parts and labour to repair a product that has become faulty due to manufacturing defects. The Warranty does not cover instances of accident, neglect, misuse or mishandling, or normal wear and tear. Goods returned as faulty will be returned to the Manufacturers' service centre. Any decisions on necessary repairs and charges will be final.

The faulty goods are exchanged or repaired in accordance with the respective Manufacturer's Warranty Procedures, however if the refund deemed to be necessary our liability is limited to the PURCHASE value of the defective goods, the postage charge is non-refundable. 

Please refer to our Returns Procedure below and follow the steps to return the goods. 

Special Order Items and Personalised Items.
We will not accept any return and will not refund any items that have been supplied to Special Order or are specially made to your individual specification or personalised.  All Special Order items are clearly marked on our web-site.

DO NOT DESPATCH GOODS UNTIL YOU HAVE CONFIRMED WITH US THAT WE ARE PREPARED TO ACCEPT THEM BACK FOR CREDIT OR EXCHANGE.

Returns Procedure:

  1. In the first instance please Contact Us to notify of any problem you are experiencing with your purchase. Please clearly describe the problem.
  2. We will reply with a RMA (Return Merchandise Authorisation) number and the Address to return the item to.
  3. Please securely Package the goods to be returned. In the even of unwanted goods the goods should be unopened, unused, with all the original contents including free gifts.
  4. Please Include the following documents:
    - a copy of your receipt
    - provided RMA number
    - a brief Covering Note explaining why the goods are being returned.
  5. Post the goods to the Address specified. We advise that all the goods are sent on a "signed for" service. Items not received by The Widescreen Centre can not be refunded, exchanged or replaced.

There may be a delay in processing returned items not following the above Returns Procedure. The Widescreen Centre is not responsible for the items sent to an address other than the one we specify with the RMA confirmation.

All goods returns are at the Customer's own risk and the Customer remains responsible for the goods until they are received and signed for by The Widescreen Centre. Items not received by The Widescreen Centre can not be refunded, exchanged or replaced. Return shipping and its cost are the responsibility of the Customer and can not be refunded.
